今日ご紹介する曲は『 Elton John / Your Song 』

エルトン・ジョンの代名詞とも言えるこの曲。誰もがどこかで聴いたことがあると思います。1970年、2nd アルバム『Elton John』を発表。このアルバムからのシングル・カット「Your Song」（邦題：「僕の歌は君の歌」）が全米で最高８位を記録するヒットとなり、エルトン・ジョンは本格的にスター街道を歩み始めた。

サー・エルトン・ハーキュリーズ・ジョン CBE（Sir Elton Hercules John CBE、旧名：レジナルド・ケネス・ドワイト/Reginald Kenneth Dwight。1947年3月25日　イギリスミドルセックス州ピナー生まれ。代表曲に「僕の歌は君の歌」「ロケット・マン」「クロコダイル・ロック」「土曜の夜は僕の生きがい」「グッバイ・イエロー・ブリック・ロード」「キャンドル・イン・ザ・ウインド」「僕の瞳に小さな太陽」「僕を救ったプリマドンナ」「ブルースはお好き?」「サッド・ソングス」「サクリファイス」「愛を感じて」などがある。
